This is Intentionally Vicarious… I’m Todd Youngblood… And I was just sitting here at my desk pondering aimlessly… And I started to reflect back on the leadership lessons I’ve observed, learned and attempted to practice. Certainly no single one of them can stand alone. Leadership is an extremely complex thing. That said, I do have a favorite. It’s from General George S. Patton.

“Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.”

Ever since I realized how much I genuinely hate being micro-managed, this one’s been easy for me to remember.
