Turns out, a guy named David Hannum, who basically hated Barnum’s guts, was the real source of the statement. Hannum was trying to smear PT’s reputation. I guess that one backfired on him.
I guess it’s probably a good idea to just keep our mean and nasty thoughts to ourselves. Otherwise we might wind up like David Hannum who only succeeded in making his nemesis that much more famous.
