The Having it A.L.L. podcast and Intentionally Vicarious have a lot in common. The perspectives and approach are dramatically different, but in spirit, living an Abundant, Loving, Life and having more fun than anyone else you know are really pretty much the same thing.

On top of that, the Having it A.L.L. host Matthew Bivens, uses two of my favorite memory tricks, alliteration and acronyms! We talked about a few of his “6 Fs:”

Granted, because of my own bias we focused on the FUN part of Having it A.L.L.

I particularly liked the idea of using the 6Fs in a manner suggested by Stephen Covey in his now-classic “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” In summary, every week, think through your personal “roles” (like father, husband, athlete…) in the context of the Fs. What are the “big rocks” for each? Sort out your priorities. Then pull out your calendar and schedule actions. Oh… then execute!

Such a simple, obvious technique…

…and we also talked about BALANCE

  • Breath
  • Aqua
  • Lengthen
  • Anaeorobic
  • Nutrition
  • Clense
  • Energize

We’ll need to have Matthew back on the show to get more into that.

He did though, get a bit into the Balance Game – and there’s an app for that! The Your Day Balance Game (YDBG) takes the stress and frustration out of losing weight, getting in shape and living a healthy lifestyle. It helps you create a joyful experience in health and fitness by fostering a balanced approach to changing your habits at your own pace.

If you happen to live in metro Atlanta, you might want to check out the YourDay Playground.

All in all, this was a very intriguing conversation about both Having it A.L.L. and having more fun than anyone else you know. Maybe that’s why the good folks at the Fireside Network signed us up!

Now get out there and implement your own vicarious.
